Matt Cyrus is a 6th generation Central Oregon Farmer who has raised potatoes, mint, wheat, hay and cattle, and now hemp. Matt’s family has been raising industrial hemp since 2016. Matt has been active in lobbying agricultural issues in the legislature since the 1980’s and more recently turned his attention to the hemp industry. Matt currently serves as the President of Deschutes County Farm Bureau, President of the Oregon Family Farm Association, and a board member of Oregonian’s in Action and Water for Life, as well as a long-time volunteer in the Cloverdale Rural Fire Protection District. Matt is committed to helping make industrial hemp a workable and profitable mainstream agricultural crop in Oregon and the rest of the nation.
